About D&F Industries
D&F Industries is a family-owned company that has been operating in South Texas since 1953. We are proud to be in the fourth generation of ownership, and we continue to provide top quality electrical and HVAC services to our community. Our History
The year was 1953. Eisenhower was President; the Korean "Conflict" ended; A first-class stamp cost three cents; the Dow Jones was a staggering 283.54; "From Here to Eternity" topped the movie screens and H&H Electric and Plumbing Company was established by Frank Hausenfluck, Sr. and Don Hopper. Their resources consisted of a mortgaged, yellow 1949 Studebaker pickup, $70 operation budget, and the vision of a business based on excellence, integrity, cooperation and person service.
Although they were not paid for their first job, the partnership thrived in cooperation with people from varied contracting backgrounds. In 1968 the incorporation of H&H Electric was not possible for another entity already had the name. Instead of using the partner's last name initials, the initials of their first names were used and D&F Industries, Inc. was founded. A flip of the coin determined D&F; not F&D.
D&F has evolved into a major contracting firm specializing in Electrical, Mechanical, Design & Build and Service for commercial and industrial buildings, high rise buildings, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and renovations/retrofit throughout the Rio Grande Valley, South Texas, and beyond! With knowledge, skills and dedication, our dedicated employees truly make the difference and set us apart from the competition.
Our Process
D&F Industries has strong subcontracting capabilities in commercial and industrial buildings, arenas and event centers, high-rise buildings, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities. We also provide HVAC renovation and retrofit services as well as design, construction, and professional engineering services throughout South Texas.
